Woke Is A Political Party: What Have These Ideas Contributed?
Woke isn’t a person.
Woke isn’t some poor little trans kid. Woke isn’t a race-baiting black politician. Woke isn’t an entitled Karen screaming for the manager. Woke is a philosophy. Woke is an ideology. Woke is a political movement – and ideas can, and should, be challenged and criticized.
What is the argument for anything Woke making humanity better? How does this political subset make humankind stronger? How does Woke make humans a more viable species? How does Woke improve our technology and resources? How does the Woke ideology add to the betterment of our children, and what moral lessons are they being taught? How does this new social dynamic impact and influence our families? Most importantly – how does Woke improve our families?
Happiness?
Sure. I agree. Woke people would be happier if they got their way. So would Republicans. So would Democrats. So would Libertarians, and Socialists, and Communists, and Fascists, and so on indefinitely. Is Woke’s feeling of happiness more important than the fundamental building blocks of society? Is Woke’s feeling of happiness more important than the chaos they’ve inflicted into society? Are you – person reading this – are you happy? What is happiness? We’re talking about uprooting the structures that comprise the survival and success of our species, and we’re placing Woke’s happiness above all else? We’re willing to tear down millenniums of precedent because a political group is demanding it?
This is not a civil rights issue. In no way, shape, or form am I calling for limiting individual rights. I’m not calling for the harm or imprisonment of anyone who aligns with Woke. I am, however, allowed to critique ideas. And Woke is a really bad idea.
Woke is a choice.
Woke isn’t an identity. Woke is just something you can stop believing. If you’re gay and Woke – you can just be gay. If you’re black and Woke – you can just be black. If you’re a miserable middle aged white woman and Woke – you can still be a miserable middle aged white woman. If you’re trans and Woke – you can just be whoever you want to be. I am asking those who are Woke to wake up – you don’t need to carry the political baggage of a movement that you feel like you were born into.
Western values solved race. We haven’t perfected it, but by and large race has been solved. There’s no longer any speculative science saying someone with a particular skin color is less intelligent than another. There’s no longer any laws that restrict or subjugate someone based upon their ethnicity. Slavery is over. Mandates of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are a Woke Trojan horse. DEI is not about improving race relations or providing more opportunities for minorities — DEI is a political tool. DEI turns race into gun control. DEI turns race into abortion. DEI weaponizes compassion to implement Woke political policies. Moreover, DEI doesn’t actually help minorities. Plain and simple.
Protect Civilization
We all know how fragile and precious human life is — and that’s why we’re not going to allow the Woke to fuck it up. We all know each brain is capable of brilliance, we know each human came from a mother and a father, we know each person feels love – and loss when it’s ripped away from us. And that is why we must preserve, and work to improve, the society and civilization we have. Not tear it down. Not destroy it.
The Woke ideology needs to realize that it is a radical social experiment born out of critical theory, and right now Woke is failing. As the CEO of Society, Woke is getting laid off. You’re not contributing enough to the needs of the organization, and your attitude has become a distraction and disturbance to others.
No one cares about your “bravery” or strength or personal struggle of self awareness. Your triumphs are narcissistic. Your social expectations are entitled.
Factions within your group are violently attacking millennia-long values, institutions, and religions. You are corrupting and mutilating children. Your extremists massacre life as it sits in schools and churches. You celebrate the assassinate political leaders. You shout down and shut down any criticism of your behavior.
Expose Bad Ideas
What are people who don’t agree with the Woke movement supposed to do? The same thing we’ve always done with bad ideas – talk about them. Begin talking about these behaviors in the simplest terms. Realize that identities are being conflated with ideas to score political points.
Woke has tried to silence the discussion by hiding behind identity. Any criticism of the idea is a criticism of the individual or their rights. Again, Woke is not an identity. Woke is a thought. Ask, with all seriousness, if you want these ideas leading your community? Ask, with all seriousness, if want these ideas in your workplace? Ask, with all seriousness, if you want these ideas raising your children? Ask, with all seriousness, if you want these ideas in your government — making decisions about war, law, and money?
Again, I don’t have a problem with Gay. I have a problem with the political movement that has co-opted your preference. I don’t have a problem with ethnicity. I have a problem with a political movement who exploits it. People are not the problem – bad ideas are the problem.
The feeling of moral obligation Woke has created to go along with bad ideas is pure manipulation of the people they pretend to protect.
